First off, did the Biebs want his penis and butt enlarged as an ego stroke?
Left: edited pic with enhancements. Right: Unedited picture of Justin Bieber
Not to mention they enhanced his muscles and used shadowing to make his pecks look bigger. Bieber says the untouched picture is a fake. Maybe it is.
Calvin Klein, part Justin Bieber, part Mark Wahlberg
Mark Wahlberg's wife Rhea Durham is not happy with Justin Bieber being a Calvin Klein model. She tweeted, "mark wahlberg calvin klein ads - google seach that's the real.....ain't gonna lie."
She also said,"My baby was the 1st and the best...And not to mention.....wow the retouching."
Most likely referring to the picture leak showing how Biebers "manliness" was supposably enlarged.
This is a total "I farted and I'm proud of it," face.
Whatever the truth is the back and forth via different social media sites is hilarious and ever mounting.
Justin Bieber and Lara Stone
One part in this nutty saga is the Bieber fans. There are crazy girls all over twitter sending Lara Stone death threats over the racy photo shoot. One said, "hi b**** i hate u. touch justins d*** again and ill kill u im not joking." There is also the tweet from @ameliebelieber6.
Whatever the drama is with everyone about the new Calvin Klein ads the real reason they are made is so woman will buy underwear for their boyfriends and husbands and so men will buy the underwear hoping they will look that good in them.
But in reality they look like these guys.
What men actually look like in underwear.
And you know, some of us expect to look like Justin Bieber. When in actuality we look more like big sexy holding the grapes
To Fez or not to Fez. When it comes to Doctor Who cosplay the 11th Doctor Fez look is one of the most easily recognized looks to shoot for. I'm sure that there are some people out there like me that are detail oriented and the doctor is always running about here or there so it can be hard to get a good look at his outfit. So I've put together a bunch of pictures so you can get you can get your Fez look as close to authentic as possible.
Doctor Who 11th Doctor in a fez
Lets start with the Fez. I've seen on a lot of fan art and comics The Doctor using a fez with a tassel, but it is pretty plain to see that the one in the show that he is wearing does not have a tassel. Also it is more of a maroon then a bright red like a lot of people wear. I've looked at a lot places, the closest to an affordable replica I have seen was on ebay and it was a maroon wool shriners fez.
You can also get a Fez and bow tie set at ThinkGeek. You can also find a lot of other cool fan stuff there. I got a build your own sonic screwdriver set from them, I freakin' love it. They use to have a replica 11th Doctor Jacket, but it was really expensive.
Build Your own Sonic Screwdriver Set
Bow tie and Suspenders
The shirt is a light pink with slightly darker pink stripes. His bow tie and suspenders are the same color. It is hard to tell from the show and from most of the pictures, but the pants he is wearing are a dark gray. You can see the color best in the very top picture in this blog.
All Saints Cropped Layer Boot
The Doctors Boots
All Saints Layer Boots
Getting the right boots is one of the hard parts. Especially if you don't know what you are looking for. If you are looking for the same ones as The Doctor search for All Saints Cropped Layer Boots. They aren't available on the All Saints website anymore, but sometimes you can find them for sale used on ebay or other websites. If you want to go with the All Saints brand you can go to their website. As of right now they have a similar boot, it isn't layered though. Just search Brisk Boot on their site. They are pretty price though.
11th Doctor Tweed Jacket
When you are looking for a tweed Jacket try and find one with the brown elbow patches. I did a lot of shopping around when I was looking for a jacket. Men's Warehouse said they could custom make me a similar one, but it would have cost $600. ThinkGeek use to have one for about three hundred dollars, but they don't carry it anymore. I ended up finding a perfect tweed jacket with the patches and everything at a local thrift shop for $12.
Amy Pond in a Fez
Young Amelia Pond in a Fez
The Doctor and Young Kazran Sardick in a Fez
He can't help, but admiring a nice fez.
He really really likes them.
10th Doctor, David Tennant in a Fez
The last bunch of these pictures are just some that I really liked to much to leave out. I am so glad that the Fez made an appearance in The Night of the Doctor, because now not only can 11th Doctor (Matt Smith) fans wear a fez, but 10th Doctor (David Tennant) fans can sport one too if they so wish.
I know this was a few weeks ago, but at least the video is worth a watch.
A 14 year old boy in Syracuse, Utah (about 30 miles outside of Salt Lake City) stole his grandfathers car. When the police tried to stop him the boy sped off leading the cops on a high speed chase.
The car sped through Founders Park where there were more then a dozen children playing in the grass.
The police called off the chase over concerns of pedestrians. The police saw the vehicle again and attempted to pull it over. The boy driving the vehicle led them on the chase again, but a guy named Byron Rowley, who's son was almost struck by the driver hoped in his vehicle and helped stop the chase, with the front of his truck!
We went to Dollywood for the BBQ and Bluegrass Festival. They had a lot of fun bands and musicians and of course BBQ. The entertainment part I liked the best was a duet. Willow Osbourne, age 13 and Andy Stinett, age 15, were awesome. We stopped and watched at least a bit of each of the shows, but I do believe that these two deserved a bigger stage then the one they got. Every single person that passed by stopped for at least a minute to listen. I can't say the same for all of the other performers. The second video is my favorite.
Willow Osborne has been preforming at Dollywood since she was 8 1/2. She started in shows like Babes in Toyland before she started playing music. She plays at Dollywood every year during the BBQ and Bluegrass. I hope by next year she gets a bigger stage.
I was told that she works at Country Tonite in Pigeon Forge, so if you'd like to see her then that is where you can find her.
Dippin' Dots at Dollywood
It was really hot the day we went. So we stopped in some shade and got ourselves a bowl of dippin' dots. We decided to go with the souvenir bowl because you get a discount on refills and I'm sure we are going to use it again.
Bag of Gem Stones
After that we went on a few more rides, then stopped into Lucky 7 Mine Shop and look around. We ended up buying a few gifts for friends and decided to buy a bag of dirt with gemstones in it. I was mostly just stopping because my girlfriend wanted to, but it ended up being fun. I'd suggest it as an activity to do if you have kids or are on a date. You can choose from a few different things, gem stones, emeralds, arrow heads or fossils. We got the smallest bag of gemstones and ended up with a lot more then I was expecting.
After all that fun we were hungry so we wondered down to where the main food places are and got a bite to eat and drooled over the deserts.
cooking up sausages
the biggest pie I've ever seen.
Even if you are a vegetarian I would suggest taking a day off from your diet to try pork that is cooked like this. I don't know exactly what it is that makes it taste so different, but it is a sinful delight. This isn't something they always have as a food option, so I'm going to make sure I make it to the BBQ and Bluegrass Festival next year if I can.
I love Dollywood, it is a decent sized park. They have a good amount of shows and rides for people of all ages. Whether you are looking for thrill rides or say, you want your toddler to be able to ride a bumble bee. I've been going there for nearly 5 years now so I've gotten to know the park pretty well.
If you are looking to be able to see a lot of fun free shows you should either go around Christmas or during Festival of Nations. One of the things I like best about Dollywood is that if you don't go opening weekend, the middle of summer or right before Christmas you can get on pretty much any ride in less than 15 minutes and during slow days, like mondays before schools out you can just walk on to a bunch of the rides with no wait.
Christmas photo from Wild Eagle Roller Coaster
There are a good number of roller coasters: Tennessee Tornado, The Firechaser Express (just opened 2014), Thunderhead, Mystery Mine and Blazing Fury (small). Those are all great. The best coaster in the park though is the Wild Eagle. It is one of only two in the world like it. I could try to explain it more, but I'm sure the video below will give you a better idea of what it's like.
Walking around the park all day is going to make you hungry. There are a lot of different choices at the park, but the best places to eat are: Miss Lillian's Chicken House, Lumber Jack's Pizza or Sausage Works.
Miss Lillian's Chicken House is a buffet. The fried chicken there is amazing. So are the chicken fried steaks and gravy and pretty much everything else. The only thing I'm not too hot on there is the dessert items. They are kind of...meh. The best part of the Chicken House is Miss Lillian. If you cluck like a chicken at her she will toss a biscuit at you. She also sings and dances and is a lot of fun.
I think I like Lumber Jack's Pizza mostly because it is pizza and it is hard to go wrong with that, but the crust is also really good. I think they also put a Normandy blend of veggies on the vegetarian because when I ordered a veggie pizza it came with carrots, broccoli and cauliflower instead of the usual bell peppers, and tomatos.
All I can say about Sausage Works is that the sausage is delicious. The cooking area is open and you can watch them cook and chop up the sausage. It is one of the rare cases where the food you smell tastes as good as you imagine it to.
If you are going to get dessert I would highly suggest going to the bakery in the flour mill. They have the most amazing cinnamon bread I have ever tasted; it's better than my grandma's (sorry gran.) It is made from flour that they grind there in this really old flour mill.
A lot of people like to go to Red's Drive-In, which looks like a 50's diner. It is cute and nostalgic, but the burgers are burgers and the shakes are shakes. They aren't bad or anything, they are just burgers and shakes.
Miss Lillian's Chicken House
The shows change throughout the year, different singers and performers. The performances are scattered throughout the park. When you are tired of walking they are pretty fun to sit down to. One of the shows that is there for most of the year is Wings of America Birds of Prey. I honestly only stopped because I was tired of walking, but it was actually really interesting and they walked the birds in the audience so you could get a good picture of them. They also had a vulture come and land on an audience member they called to stage.
Eagles at Dollywood.
My smallish friend asked me to put in her two favorite bits. Her favorite part of Festival of Nations was the Swedish dancers and her favorite part at Christmas time was talking to the elves about Santa before the Christmas Parade. She also likes to walk around in the Sweets Shop and watch them make the salt water taffy if they are making it.
Here are the Swedish dancers on stilts.
Santa's Elves writing with chalk.
If you are planning a trip to the area, you will be amazed at how much there is to do. There is a huge discount shopping mall, a bunch of Ripley's attractions (including the Aquarium), a few water park hotels, arcades, and more multi-level go-kart tracks then I have ever seen anywhere else. There are also multiple places to zip line, hike, kayak, and camp. There are plenty of places to eat and all of this stuff is within a half an hour of each other. There are attractions side by side by side. You could take a dozen trips there and not get to do it all. It is seriously like a family friendly Las Vegas.
If you stop at a gas station before you decide what you want to do you can get some discount books. Most of the gas stations have coupons sometimes, as nice as buy one get one free on some attractions.
Mad Dog's Creamery
One place that isn't too far from Dollywood is Mad Dog's Creamery. They have a lot of normal flavors, strawberry, chocolate, vanilla and what not. I like to go there for the Banana Pudding ice cream. Either in a sundae or in a hot fudge covered banana split. If you bring in a picture of your dog they will put it on the wall.
Banana Pudding Banana Split.
If you have any questions about the area just leave me a comment and I'll get back to you. Also let me know if you would like to see pictures of any particular place in this area. I go to the Pigeon Forge/Sevierville/Gatlinburg area several times a year and I'm always willing to check out one of the attractions if I haven't already.
I was so excited when Taco Bell said they were going to have breakfast. When I heard they were going to make a waffle taco I was so happy I could have farted sparkles. The A.M. Crunchwrap's are awesome. The waffle taco is pretty good, I think it might be better if they put maple chunks inside the waffle like the McGriddle.
Sausage Waffle Taco
This is what you can expect to see when you order the waffle taco. I know a lot of people are complaining because it doesn't look just like the picture, but really when do any fast food items look just like they did in the picture? If you are expecting that then you are expecting way too much for your measly couple of bucks.
The egg chunks do fall out and if you use the syrup it does drip, but you would expect that from any other type of taco. It isn't really shaped to hold things in well. If you want something that is contained while you eat it on your drive to work go with the A.M. Crunchwrap.
Very Berry Waffle and Chicken and Waffle Taco!
The Very Berry Waffle Taco isn't available in all areas, but when it is give it a whirl. I want to try the Chicken and Waffle Taco. I'm sure it won't be as good as one of the Chicken & Waffle places you can find in the south, but I am hoping it at least satisfies my hunger for the price I'm willing to pay.
I hope Taco Bell does two things:
1. I hope they start serving breakfast all day like Sonic and some other places do. It would be perfect for 4th meal, when you get off work really late or you have been out drinking with your friends. Or of course all the stoners out there that decide they need to go get food at 11pm.
2. I hope they expand on their dessert type tacos. I would like a chocolate, peanut butter, and banana waffle taco with a little whip cream.
Banana Chocolate Waffle
Here is a banana chocolate waffle like you can get at some county fairs. If you want to make your own at home version of the chocolate, peanut butter and banana waffles I was talking about here is how I like to make them.
1 or 2 Eggo Wafflers (depending on how hungry you are)
2 spoon fulls of nutella or drizzles of chocolate sauce
2 spoon fulls of peanut butter, I personally like creamy
and one sliced up banana
I like to break the wafflers in half and make little sandwiches.
If you are going to stay in a Hotel in the Knoxville area that is price friendly and nice I would suggest the Quality Inn on Cedar Bluff Road. There is lots of free parking, it is close to a lot of different places to eat, some of the places near by include: McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Waffle House, Little Cesars, Papa Johns, Taco Bell, Arby's and Starbucks. Those are just the places that are within walking distance.
The free breakfast is awesome. They have stuff you can find at pretty much any free breakfast. Bagels, cereal, toast, coffee, crappy watered down orange juice, but they also have belgian waffles. If you don't like hotel coffee the Starbucks is right next to the hotel.
Easy access to the Freeway is one other great reason to stay here and it is only about 10 minutes from downtown Knoxville. Pretty much anything you could need or want access to is not to far of a drive. A post office, UPS Store, Staples, Grocery stores, Walmart, shopping mall. All those things are no more then 5 to 10 minutes away.
The only thing I can really think of that sucks about this place is that during rush hour it is hard to get to the hotel from the opposite side of the road, but I imagine that is a problem pretty much anywhere.
The Jacuzzi was our favorite part.
The pool has a heated waterfall and it feels kind of romantic when it gets dark out.
There is a small "waterpark" with a couple slides and other things.
This is a picture from the opposite side of the play area.
